When Doug was appointed as Official Artist of England Rugby by the RFU, they asked him to create a collection to celebrate the 2015 return home to England of the Rugby World Cup. Rugby is all about skill, power, speed, strength and courage, but equally important to this game is the humour, comradeship and fun which can be found in every rugby team and club all over the world. Doug’s aim was to capture all these aspects. He is himself famously passionate about the game; a former number 8 who has now hung up his boots (apart from the occasional Christmas match) he is still a huge fan.
